Pre School Ballet & Tap

Ages 3 – 4

The next step in your child’s dance development

Weekly themes and performance opportunities

Each lesson has its own theme every week, so your child will feel excited about the class. Moreover, our older Baby Ballet students are always invited to participate in the D2 Dance Bi-annual Show, so they can experience the excitement of the theatre at a young age!

Tap!

At this age, it is great to be able to introduce our students to the joy of immediate noise and to increase their coordination through tap dance. Being able to combine both dance styles in one lesson keeps little minds interested and enables new skills to be learned from a young age. Witnessing the joy on little faces as they pop on their first tap shoes is brilliant!

ISTD Pre Primary and Primary Ballet Elements

At three, most children would find learning an ISTD Exam syllabus a little repetitive and possibly not inspiring enough to keep them interested. With this in mind, we start teaching some elements of the early ISTD class exam syllabi at this age, but mix them with more interactive, creative elements so we can ensure that our young dancers are always excited about coming to class.

And there’s still a biscuit…

… and most likely a sticker, too, at the end of every class. It’s a bit of a rite of passage for Tiny Tutus Ballet, and one that we love and don’t plan on stopping (but please let us know if your child has specific dietary requirements, as we can supply wheat/dairy free options, too).

Creative learning through movement

Ballet is an art form which requires years of training to perfect. But there are so many benefits to starting to learn from a young age.

Taking a weekly class:

  • Builds gross motor skills

  • Enhances balance and coordination

  • Encourages spatial awareness

  • Strengthens muscles

  • Builds confidence

  • Develops listening and concentration skills

  • Enables friendships

  • Fosters parent-child bonding

  • Inspires rhythm and creativity
